Church Websites

We design websites that reflect your church.
Created for your community, and for those still searching for one.

Your website matters. But updating it never seems to happen.

Your people come first, and they should. That's exactly why we built Threshold: to take your website off the to-do list, so you can spend more time with the people you've been called to serve.

CUSTOM DESIGN

A landing page that reflects the church it belongs to

The hero section was designed specifically to match the church and community it was built for. This church is located in a small, artsy, mountain town. The design mirrors that with watercolour elements, paint brush strokes, and silhouettes of the actual mountain range that stands behind the church building.

EASY TO UPDATE

A site that is simple to maintain

Using a built in content management system, it takes only a few minutes to update an event, share a blog or newsletter, or upload a new sermon video or recording without needing a redesign every time something changes.

RESPONSIVE LAYOUT

A design that adjusts to every screen size

Every section, page, and element adapts to whatever device you are using. No cutoff text, buttons that disappear from frame, or images that get pinched or stretched.

FAQ

Still have questions?

How much work is this for me, really?

We try our best to give you the best possible product while taking up the least amount of your time. We can provide a one-page website for no more work than a 20 minute discovery form, one review from you, and a 30 minute walkthrough at the end of it. Obviously the more complex the project, and the more custom images you would like, the more time it will take, but regardless, our mission to minimize your time commitment stays the same.

Should we choose a single-page or multi-page website?

It depends mostly on how much content your church needs to share and how people will find you. Here's a simple way to think about it. Single-page site: Many churches (I might even say most) have too many pages with information in too many places making it difficult for people to find what they're looking for. Single-site pages are actually growing in popularity and can still hold a tremendous amount of information in a simple and easy to find way. There are many ways to still include all the information you want on a single-page site in a way that feels clean, easy to navigate, and isn't overwhelming. The site you're looking at right now is a single-page site! You can still have menu options, navigation links, drop downs and lots more! Multi-page site: As your church grows so does your content. If you're posting sermons every week, hosting regular events, or running multiple ministries that each deserve their own space, a single page can only stretch so far before it starts feeling crowded no matter how well it's organized. Multi-page sites give your most important content room to breathe — a sermon archive that's easy to browse, a giving page that doesn't get lost in the scroll, a kids ministry page that parents can find directly without digging. It also means people searching online for something specific, like "youth group" or "Sunday service times," have a better chance of landing exactly where they need to be. The goal either way is the same — making it easy for people to find what they're looking for. Sometimes that means keeping everything in one place. Sometimes it means giving your biggest priorities their own dedicated space to shine.

We're a small church on a tight budget — can we afford this?

Our pricing is built specifically for church budgets, and we do everything we can to work with your budget as best as we can. If money is the only thing standing in the way, talk to us — we'll find a way.

I want to pay upfront for my site but I'd also like ongoing management. Is that an option?

Yes — our site management can be added to either of the build + handoff options. After your site is built, you can add the Site Management Plan for $150/month and we’ll take over hosting and management from there. It works the same way as the build + management option — you send us updates, we handle them — the only difference is you’ve already paid for the build upfront rather than spreading it across the first year. Our site management is only available for sites we’ve built, so we can make sure everything is set up the way it should be.

What's the difference between the build + management option and the build + handoff?

The build + management option is for churches who want everything handled — we build your site and then stay on to run it. Your $250/month covers the build cost spread across your first year, plus hosting, updates, and ongoing management. After that first year the build is fully paid off and your rate drops to $150/month, which covers hosting (typical cost for website hosting ranges from $20-$60/month which I absorb) and continued management going forward. You never need to think about updating your website — that's the whole point. The build + handoff options are one-time builds where we design and build your site, hand it over to you, and you take it from there. You'll own update and manage it through your own Framer account. These are a great fit for churches who are comfortable managing their own content or have a staff or volunteer who can handle updates.

What does site management actually include?

When we manage your site, we cover the cost of website hosting, keep everything running smoothly, and take care of any updates you need — sermon uploads, event changes, staff updates, design tweaks, and anything else that comes up. Most churches just email us when something needs changing and we take care of it. No technical knowledge required on your end, no logging into anything, no wondering if it's working. Just send us a message and it gets done.

ABOUT

Threshold was started by a pastor, for pastors

I'm a full-time local church pastor that has a desire to help all churches have an online presence that reflects the time and care that's been put into the church they represent no matter the size, budget, or staffing.

I understand how easy it is for a website update to stay on the bottom of a pastor's to-do list for years and I wanted to make it as easy and time effective to change that.

Many churches are running their whole online presence on a site that's out of date and difficult to navigate — not because they don't care, but because a refresh feels expensive, complicated, and like one more thing to manage.

I want to help you have a website that you're proud of, and that is an effective ministry tool that contributes to the work that God is doing in your community.
